Krystal Returns to Music! Dropping Her First Solo Single 'PWLT' Today

Former f(x) member Krystal is making her big return to music with “PWLT”, the second single from her first-ever solo album!

Krystal’s new single “PWLT” will be released today, May 26, at 6 PM on global music platforms. For those who love physical copies, the CD will be available at major online and offline record stores starting May 27.

Expectations for “PWLT” are already sky-high thanks to an incredible lineup of collaborators.

The track was produced by Pat Howard, an LA-based drummer and producer known for working with Latin pop singer Maye (whose music famously appeared on former President Barack Obama’s playlist), and Steve Lindsey, the legendary producer who discovered Bruno Mars and has worked with icons like Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and Celine Dion.

The session artists are just as impressive! The single features guitar work by Kuo-Hung Tseng from the world-renowned Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster, synth by Oh Hyuk of HYUKOH, and flute by Grammy-nominated composer and performer Martin Perna.

In the second episode of her album-making series “Charging Crystals” released on the 13th, Krystal shared a glimpse into her creative process. The episode showcased her recording sessions with Kuo-Hung Tseng and global singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi, as well as her choreography practice, while traveling between Taiwan and “House of Refuse” in Jeju.

Beyond music, Krystal has been staying busy as an actress. She recently starred as Jeon Yi-kyung in the tvN drama “How to Become a Building Owner in Korea” alongside Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, and Kim Jun-han. She is also set to appear in the Korea-Japan co-production film “I Hear You”, directed by Oe Takamasa, who co-wrote the Cannes Best Screenplay winner “Drive My Car”.
