Sam Kim and Jung Ji-sun were left speechless by Chef Kwon Sung-jun’s overflowing confidence!
In the May 21 episode of tvN’s ‘Undercover Chef’, Chef Kwon Sung-jun took on the challenge of becoming the youngest kitchen staff member at a restaurant in Naples, Italy.
Before starting his undercover mission, Kwon Sung-jun questioned the plan, saying, “Was this planned by someone who knows nothing about restaurants and F&B business? This is honestly nonsense. In five days, you’d just be peeling potatoes.” However, he quickly pivoted to his signature confidence, adding, “But I’m the one who makes the impossible happen. I wonder if I even need five days. Maybe three would be enough!”
Watching the footage, Sam Kim remarked, “This comment is seriously similar to Hyun-seok hyung.” Kim Poong noted, “It’s rare for the production team to be taken aback by comments like these,” while Jung Ji-sun expressed her surprise, saying, “Is he always like this? This is a bit much.” Meanwhile, Kwon Sung-jun seemed genuinely confused, asking, “Why is it strange? Am I the only one who doesn’t get it?”
When the production team asked if his cooking would be well-received locally, Kwon bragged, “Not just locally, but worldwide!” Sam Kim joked that they should invite Chef Choi Hyun-seok to the show, but Kwon stood his ground, declaring, “It’s a fact.”
