Lee Hyun-yi opened up about a mistake she made at an Andre Kim fashion show 21 years ago that kept her off the runway for a long time.
In the 440th episode of SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny’ aired on the 26th, Lee Hyun-yi was shown returning to an Andre Kim fashion show at the Han River after 21 years.
On this day, Lee Hyun-yi walked the runway as a model for the ‘Andre Kim Fashion Show’ held at the Han River.

Upon arriving at the venue, Lee Hyun-yi greeted designer Kim Jung-do (Andre Kim’s son) and model Lee Sun-jin, the fashion show director. She confessed, “I’m standing in the teacher’s fashion show again after 21 years. I did it once in my debut year, but I was actually fired after that.”
Back in 2005, during her rookie days, Lee Hyun-yi had been selected as a model for an Andre Kim show.
Recalling the moment, she said, “In Andre Kim shows, two people always have to come out and pose together. But I forgot the signature pose all by myself. It was a huge disaster.”

She added, “I wore three outfits in total, but I made the mistake during the very first one. I was so scared that I cried.”
A surprised designer Kim Jung-do asked, “Did my father happen to say anything?” to which Lee Hyun-yi replied, “After the show, Andre Kim watched the video at the store and said, ‘Who is this? Never use her again.’ I couldn’t stand on stage after that,” sparking laughter.
The MCs added to the laughter, reacting with comments like, “It’s understandable she was fired,” “Why didn’t she do what everyone else was doing?” and “No wonder she wasn’t picked.”
