Model and entertainer Lee Hyun-yi has honestly shared her concerns about aging ahead of an upcoming fashion show.
On May 2, a video titled “Aging Emergency Before the Fashion Show! Lee Hyun-yi Starts Urgent Care (Neck Wrinkle Care, Enzyme Compress)” was uploaded to her YouTube channel, ‘Working Mom Lee Hyun-yi’.
In the video, Lee Hyun-yi shared that she is currently preparing to be both the MC and a model for the Seoul Spring Festival. She expressed significant pressure, saying, “I’m doing the fashion show on the same day I’m the MC. And it’s an Andre Kim show.” She added with determination, “It’s the first time I’ve stood on this stage in 21 years since my debut. I almost couldn’t do it again because of a mistake I made as a rookie, so I really want to do a great job this time.”
To get ready for the stage, Lee Hyun-yi dove into “all-around care,” stating, “I’m taking care of everything from head to toe.” However, her biggest worry was something else. She confessed, “Dieting is easy if you just don’t eat and exercise. The real struggle is aging. It’s the ultimate challenge that you just can’t avoid.”
Lee Hyun-yi listed thinning hair, gray hairs, neck wrinkles, and a loss of skin elasticity as her main concerns. She shared her realistic worries, saying, “Looking at a video from exactly one year ago, I didn’t have gray hairs then. These days, one pops up every time I get stressed.”
Visiting a dermatology clinic, she explained, “I have a long neck and a protruding neck bone, so I’ve had neck wrinkles since I was young,” and began intensive treatment. After consulting with medical staff, she underwent skin booster treatments along with Botox.
Immediately after the procedure, Lee Hyun-yi expressed her satisfaction, saying, “My skin condition is great.” She explained, “I tend to use my neck muscles a lot when I speak, so they used Botox to help me use those muscles less.” She also mentioned her anticipation for even more natural results as time passes.
Showing her proactive approach to self-care, she stated, “I do everything I can.” She also added, “My body got misaligned because I’ve been playing soccer. My upper body was hurting so much that I needed professional care.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyun-yi married Hong Seong-gi, a Samsung Electronics semiconductor development engineer, in 2012 and has two sons. Her sons are currently attending Chung-Ang University Elementary School, and their annual tuition is reported to be around 10 million won.
