Lee Ji-hyun, a former member of Jewelry who is now active as a hairdresser, revealed the reason behind her challenge to start a new chapter in her life.
In a preview for next week’s episode of MBN’s ‘Dongchimi’ aired on the 23rd, Lee Ji-hyun shared her new journey as a hair designer.
In the video, she revealed, “I passed the national certification exam on my 8th attempt and have now become a salon owner.”
She also honestly opened up about the realistic struggles and uncertainty of being a single mother. “Raising my children alone, I worried about how to guide them,” she shared, adding, “I felt like my children might resent me when they grow up, asking, ‘Mom, why did you do that back then?'”
Singer Hong Kyung-min offered heartwarming comfort, saying, “I don’t know if this helps, but even if there had been a husband, he might not have known what to do either.”
Lee Ji-hyun debuted in 2001 as a member of Jewelry. After two divorces, she is now raising a son and a daughter. She began challenging the national hairdresser certification exam in November 2023 and successfully obtained her license after 8 attempts, transitioning into her new career.
