Lee Mujin Files for Contract Nullification After Unpaid Settlements Since Last Year

Singer Lee Mujin has filed a provisional injunction to nullify his exclusive contract with his agency.

According to legal sources on the 27th, the Seoul Central District Court (Civil Division 50, Presiding Judge Park Hyung-jun) is scheduled to hold a hearing this morning regarding the application for the suspension of the exclusive contract filed by Lee Mujin against Big Planet Made Enter.

Lee Mujin’s legal representative explained the background of the application, stating, “He has not received settlement payments for the second through fourth quarters of last year and the first quarter of this year.” They added, “Although the matter is practically settled since he already notified the agency of the contract termination, the lawsuit was filed to obtain an official court ruling.” Lee Mujin notified Big Planet Made Enter of the contract termination in March and filed the injunction on the 7th of this month.

Furthermore, Lee Mujin’s side is considering filing a main lawsuit to claim the payment of the outstanding settlements.

In response, a lawyer for Big Planet Made Enter stated, “We have no objection to the claim for the suspension of the contract’s validity,” adding, “We intend to accept Lee Mujin’s request.”
