Lee Sun-jung Gets Real About Her 2-Month Marriage and Divorce:

Actress Lee Sun-jung has once again shared her honest thoughts on her lightning-fast marriage—which happened in just 45 days—and her short-lived married life. Most importantly, she revealed that she doesn’t regret it!

Recently, a video titled “[Exclusive] I wasn’t in my right mind… Lee Sun-jung’s legendary honest talk exploding in front of Shin Jung-hwan” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Daktershin’.

During the episode, Shin Jung-hwan recalled, “2012 is a year Lee Sun-jung can’t forget.” He added, “Even though we’re close, I suddenly found out about her marriage through the news. Honestly, I was a bit hurt.” When he mentioned that divorce news followed shortly after, Lee Sun-jung laughed and corrected him, saying, “It wasn’t one month, it was two and a half months!”

When Shin Jung-hwan joked, “It felt to us like you got married a week ago,” Lee Sun-jung honestly admitted, “I also wondered back then, ‘Why did I do that?'”

Back in 2012, Lee Sun-jung registered her marriage just 45 days after meeting her partner, and the news of their divorce about four months later became a huge topic of conversation. Explaining why she decided to marry so quickly, she confessed, “He was so good to me. I just lost my mind because of that warmth. I thought it would last forever.” She added, “He gave me a crystal gift, like an award plaque, which I had never received before. Seeing that, I thought, ‘This is the man.'”

She continued her signature honest talk regarding the reason for the divorce. “Don’t people divorce when they just don’t fit? Not only did our hearts not match, but our bodies didn’t either. Is that enough?” she joked, leaving everyone in laughter. However, she noted, “It’s already been 14 years. I have no desire to talk about whether the other person was this or that. I just regret it and move on.”

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-jung previously spoke about the difficult times she faced after the divorce on a broadcast. She confessed, “I kept getting caught up in rumors. I wanted to show only my best side, so I hated being pointed at. I even collapsed at a grocery store due to panic disorder.”

She added, “I made the decision in too short a time, and our personalities didn’t match in many ways,” but concluded, “Since it was my choice, I don’t regret it.”
