Interpreter Lee Yoon-jin, who has left Bali to establish a new home in Korea, recently shared an update on her home renovation progress.
On the 12th, Lee Yoon-jin posted photos and videos on her personal account with the caption, “Tearing it down and tearing it down again.” The video captures the interior of what seems to be her new residence undergoing demolition. From the bathroom tiles to the general interior, the construction site reveals the raw process of remodeling an older apartment.
Lee Yoon-jin previously mentioned her new home back in March. She shared, “I was lucky to find a great property from a multi-homeowner, and since it’s an older apartment, I have to start construction.” She added, “The three of us, who are truly passionate about our home, will work together to create a warm and beautiful space.” She explained that she is setting up this new space together with her two children.
On the 27th of last month, she shared the process of moving in. Lee Yoon-jin wrote, “After completing the land permit, intermediate payment, balance payment, and move-in report, it’s finally time to open the door to our new nest. Heart fluttering,” marking the beginning of her new life in Seoul.
The shared photos showed the interior of the new home along with the reaction of her son, Da-eul. Lee Yoon-jin noted, “The first time I looked around the house with Da-eul. I was secretly worried he might find it unfamiliar or uncomfortable, but he was bright and happy.” She also reflected, “As a mother of two children who are studying hard and a woman in her 40s in Korea, resetting life might be about living day by day with a vague hope, close to recklessness, that ‘it’s okay, everything will be fine,’ while simultaneously carrying chronic anxiety.”
Lee Yoon-jin married actor Lee Beom-soo in May 2010 and has a son and a daughter, but the couple announced their split in March 2024. In February, she revealed that their mutual divorce was finalized, ending a process that lasted about two years. In January, she shared that she purchased a home in Seoul to begin her new life, stating, “I have started anew in Seoul as the Korean representative of a creative resort.”
