“Like Jennie” – Four Met Galas Later, Which Look is the Ultimate Legend?

Jennie graced the “2026 Met Gala” on May 4th (local time), held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

With this year’s dress code being “Fashion is Art,” Jennie hit the red carpet in a stunning dress from luxury brand C, for which she serves as a global ambassador. She opted for a sequin-embellished corset design, pairing it with a single drop earring and pale makeup for a captivating look. Reportedly, the dress was handcrafted by skilled artisans over 540 hours.

This marks Jennie’s fourth appearance at the Met Gala, and she has consistently turned heads with her bold fashion choices. For her first visit in 2023, she wore a white mini dress that reinterpreted C’s 1990 Fall/Winter collection. In 2024, she showcased an alluring style with an asymmetric cutout mini dress paired with a pearl chain belt.

Last year, she made a statement in an off-the-shoulder black satin jumpsuit accented with pearl cabochon stones, a pearl necklace, and a white silk camellia with jewel buttons. The outfit, inspired by C’s 1987 Fall/Winter collection, featured a black satin overskirt with a white taffeta lining and suit pants. Jennie completed the gender-neutral vibe with a two-tone boater hat.

Started in 1948, the Met Gala is the world’s largest fashion charity event, hosted annually by Vogue US and the Costume Institute of the New York Metropolitan Museum every first Monday of May. Joining Jennie this year were other Korean stars, including BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, aespa’s Karina and Ningning, as well as actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Jung Ho-yeon.
