Lim Ji-yeon has cleared up the misunderstanding that she is obsessed with being called pretty.

In the 140th episode of TEO’s web variety show “Salon Drip” released on May 19, actors Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun from the drama “Wonderful New World” made an appearance.

Heo Nam-jun shared stories about his childhood, mentioning that since his twin brother was taller, he grew up wearing hand-me-downs despite being the older brother. He added that his brother was more popular during their school days, though he did receive confessions himself. This led to a funny moment when Lim Ji-yeon teased him, asking, “You told me you were popular. Was that a lie?”

Heo Nam-jun explained the full context, saying, “If you take it out of context, I look like a weird person. Whenever the director told Noona she was so pretty, I’d ask, ‘What about me? Am I not cool?’ Every time, she’d respond, ‘What’s cool about you?’ That’s why I joked about being popular.”

To this, Jang Do-yeon asked, “Do you still like being called pretty?” referring to Lim Ji-yeon’s previous appearance on the web show “Zzanbro,” where she mentioned that her liking for someone increases when they call her pretty. Lim Ji-yeon immediately denied it, saying, “No.”

Jang Do-yeon joked, “That video went viral. It made you look like someone obsessed with being called pretty.” Lim Ji-yeon clarified, “No, that’s a bit unfair. ‘Pretty’ has a broad meaning. It can be used for men too.” Jang Do-yeon agreed, adding, “Like saying someone’s hard-working appearance is pretty.”

Then, showing their close friendship, Lim Ji-yeon teased Heo Nam-jun again, asking, “So, am I pretty or not?” Heo Nam-jun replied, “You’re pretty,” while looking confused and asking, “Did I do something wrong?” which brought more laughter to the set.
