Choo Sung-hoon from ‘Manly Man’s Way of Traveling’ has confessed to using height-increasing insoles.
In the 3rd episode of SBS Plus’s ‘Manly Man’s Way of Traveling in Kyushu’ aired on the 5th, Choo Sung-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, and Daesung were shown spending some quality time together without the production crew.
The trio visited one of Japan’s top three Inaniwa udon restaurants for a massive feast. During the meal, the production crew mentioned, “I saw it while filming at the accommodation yesterday, but you were using height-increasing insoles, hyung.”
When Choo Sung-hoon admitted it, Kim Jong-kook asked, “Wait, you use insoles?” while Daesung teased, “A manly man does that? I’m a bit disappointed.” Choo Sung-hoon tried to explain, saying, “It’s because my knees hurt.”
Kim Jong-kook wasn’t buying it, saying, “Don’t lie. You use insoles because your knees hurt? Take them off,” and personally checked the shoes. Upon seeing the insoles inside Choo Sung-hoon’s shoes, he was shocked, exclaiming, “These are almost high heels!”
Kim Jong-kook then tried them on himself and walked wobbly, prompting Daesung to remark, “Wow, hyung, you’re asymmetrical!” Kim Jong-kook reacted, “My body is leaning like a ski jumper. This would actually make your knees hurt more.”
