MC Mong Opens Up About Internal Conflicts and Darkest Moments in Emotional Live Stream

Singer MC Mong took to an SNS live broadcast to address everything from his military service controversy and internal company conflicts to the investigation by PD Notebook, even opening up about moments when he considered taking his own life.

Starting the broadcast on the 18th, MC Mong explained, “I thought about a press conference, but I felt it was right to speak in a space where my fans could listen too.” He added, “I’ve lived under the name MC Mong for 28 years. I received a lot of love, but I also went through times when my image crumbled.”

Regarding the internal company conflict, he mentioned “Person A,” an acquaintance of Chairman Cha Ga-won, describing it as the start of a “bad relationship.” He expressed his frustration, claiming he was kicked out without receiving his shares of the company. He also denied allegations of prostitution and affairs, asserting that “Person A disguised photos taken in an elevator as prostitution-related photos.” He further added, “I apologized for the damage I caused to One Hundred Label after being swayed by Person A, and we have settled those interests.”

He also voiced his frustration over the PD Notebook investigation. MC Mong strongly denied the claims, stating, “I served as a producer, not the person in charge of accounting. The allegation that I used company funds for illegal gambling makes no sense. This can be proven if you check all my accounts.”

Toward the end of the broadcast, MC Mong broke down in tears while mentioning the moments he considered extreme choices. “I thought about taking my own life because of Person A, but I decided that I had to live somehow,” he said, adding, “I hope you all survive no matter what situation you face.” During this part of the stream, he showed scars on both of his wrists.

However, the internal company matters, statements regarding specific individuals, and various allegations mentioned during the broadcast are all claims made by MC Mong. Official positions or factual confirmations from the parties involved have not yet been verified.
