MONSTA X proved they are still going strong with the grand opening of their ‘2026 MONSTA X World Tour ‘The X : Nexus’ at Seoul’s KSPO DOME earlier this year. After hitting Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Jakarta, and Japan, the tour has been praised for reaching the peak of “performance you can trust” with intense energy and a setlist that summarizes their 11-year journey. With a South American tour in June and a 10-city North American tour in October, their global influence is only set to grow.
Their global success is equally dazzling. With the release of their third US full-length album ‘Unfold’ in April, MONSTA X became the first K-pop artist to have three full albums in the US, with every single track entering the ‘Billboard 200’ chart. They also secured high spots on the ‘Top Album Sales,’ ‘Independent Albums,’ and ‘Billboard Artist 100’ charts, once again confirming their solid standing in the North American market.

Adding to the excitement, Hyungwon is expanding the group’s horizons through acting. Hyungwon has been cast as a lead in ‘Grim Reaper Life Extension Project’ alongside actor Lee Min-ki, scheduled for release in the second half of 2026. Fans are excited to see a different side of him compared to his charismatic stage presence.

After running tirelessly for quite some time, MONSTA X has evolved beyond just an idol group into a powerful brand. Between the successful conclusion of their world tour, Shownu X Hyungwon’s unit activities, and the members’ various solo projects, their 11th-anniversary journey makes the next 10 years even more anticipated. Their passion for constant challenge and change is still very much “in progress.”
