
The musical ‘Beethoven’ has released a making-of film capturing the main cast on set, ramping up excitement for fans ahead of the second ticket opening.
The film, which shows the behind-the-scenes of the profile and trailer shoots, highlights the intense character immersion of lead actors like Park Hyo Shin and Hong Kwang Ho.
On the 14th, production company EMK Musical Company released the making-of film for the musical ‘Beethoven,’ which is set to open on June 9 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater. The video offers a glimpse into the actors’ deep focus and the unique atmosphere of the production.
The footage features Park Hyo Shin and Hong Kwang Ho, both playing ‘Ludwig van Beethoven,’ fully immersed in their roles. The two actors captured attention by portraying different versions of Beethoven through conducting and piano performance concepts.
Yoon Gong Joo, Kim Ji Hyun, and Kim Ji Woo, who play ‘Antonio Brentano,’ also stood out by expressing the character’s emotions in their own unique ways. Their delicate gazes and expressions under lyrical lighting make fans even more excited for the relationships and emotional arcs in the play.
The film also revealed other key roles that will enrich the story. Shin Sung Min and Kim Do Hyun, playing ‘Caspar van Beethoven,’ heavily portrayed the character’s deep anguish and conflict, while Park Si Won and Choi Ho Jung added tension as ‘Franz Brentano’ with their cold and powerful presence.
Additionally, Sung Min Jae and Yoo Yeon Jung delicately expressed the pure and clear vibe of ‘Bettina Brentano,’ while Lee Sang Jun as ‘Baptiste Pizoch’ and Kang Sang Bum as ‘Duke Kinsky’ naturally showcased their characters’ personalities. The harmonious chemistry of the cast has further heightened expectations for the actual performance.
The musical is returning with a refreshed title, simply ‘Beethoven,’ dropping the previous subtitle ‘Beethoven Secret.’ This season will feature a reorganized narrative and character relationships, along with new songs by composer Sylvester Levy for a more dense and impactful stage.
Musical ‘Beethoven’ will run from June 9 to August 11 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater. The second ticket opening will take place on the 19th at 11 AM via Sejong Culture Ticket, Melon Ticket, and NOL Ticket.
