Choi Min-woo shared the happy news on his social media on the 14th with a handwritten letter, stating, “I met the partner I will spend my life with on the most fairy-tale-like stage, and we are now taking our first steps as a married couple on May 18.”
He added, “Some of you may be surprised by the sudden news, but it would make our journey even warmer if you could cheer for and bless the first step of the second act of my life.” He also promised, “I will never forget the love and heart you have given me and will do my best in my given position while giving back even more than I have received.”
Kim Hwan-hee also took to social media to express her feelings, saying, “I felt certain that even the worries would be a joyful process if I spent my life with this person. I have come to bear the fruit of love with someone who made me feel that we could create a beautiful and healthy life based on our own values, dreaming of ‘love’ in the same way, which is the most important thing in my life.”
She continued, “I would be beyond happy if you could bless this beginning and join us with a joyful heart.” She added, “Supported by your cheers and love, I will continue to come to you through various great works with good acting, singing, and movement.”
Kim Hwan-hee (born 1991) and Choi Min-woo (born 1992) are a couple with a one-year age difference. They reportedly met through ‘Disney in Concert: Beyond the Magic’.
Choi Min-woo debuted in 2017 with the musical ‘Les Misérables – Story of Two Men’ and appeared on ‘Phantom Singer 3’ in 2020. Kim Hwan-hee debuted in 2015 with the musical ‘Fantasia’ and has starred in lead roles in ‘Broadway 42nd Street’, ‘Kinky Boots’, and ‘Big Fish’. She is set to appear in ‘Dracula’, which opens this July.
