Na Young-seok's Variety Show Hits Big! 'Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition' Ranks #1 on TVING

‘Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition’, starring Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik, has soared to #1 in the variety category (and #4 overall) on TVING in its very first week of release. This comes after the show previously recorded ratings in the 3% range.

TVING, Korea’s leading OTT platform, released its weekly content rankings for the period from May 4 to May 10.

The TVING original ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 3’ wrapped up its season with an impressive 4-week streak at the top of both the overall and drama categories. The massive interest in Season 3 naturally sparked curiosity for previous seasons, leading ‘Yumi’s Cells’ (Season 1) to enter the drama category at #4, proving the overwhelming influence of the ‘Yumi syndrome’ and the franchise’s power.

In the drama category, two titles available on TVING are dominating the top spots. The ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’, exclusive to TVING, held onto the #2 spot overall for two consecutive weeks. Inspired by the Lee Chun-jae serial killer case, the show tracks the mystery following the arrest of the culprit, establishing itself as a high-quality genre piece with a tight narrative and unpredictable twists. Meanwhile, the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Secret Audit’ (available on TVING and Wavve) secured #3 overall, thanks to the strong performances of Shin Hye-sun and Gong Myung.

The variety category saw the arrival of a powerful new hit. ‘Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition’, which garnered huge attention for the pairing of Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik, shot straight to #1 in variety (#4 overall) in its first week, marking the glamorous return of a legendary variety series. Following closely is ‘Heart Signal Season 5’, which reached #2 in variety (#5 overall) as fans get deeply invested in the cast’s developing love lines.

Other variety hits in the overall Top 10 include tvN’s ‘Gugidong Friends’ (#3 variety), tvN’s ‘Sister’s Mountain-to-Table in Calape’ (#4 variety), and JTBC’s ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014’ (#5 variety).

TVING’s weekly content rankings are based on the Unique Visitor (UV) count for VOD views in the drama and variety categories. TVING continues to provide a unique entertainment experience by offering a wide range of original lineups and trending broadcast programs.
