NCT Taeyong Proves He's the Performance King with New 'Storm' Performance Video!

NCT Taeyong is cranking up the heat for his comeback with the release of the performance video for “Storm,” a track from his first full-length album.

Released on May 11 through the NCT YouTube channel and other platforms, the performance video for “Storm” from the first full album ‘WYLD’ showcases an impactful new song paired with overwhelming choreography, making everyone feel the return of the “performance leader” Taeyong.

“Storm” is a grand hip-hop track that blends a heavy 808 bass, thrilling marching drums, and signature dubstep elements. Taeyong’s versatile rap styles add depth to the track, while the cold and mechanical rap flow in the chorus delivers a fresh charm like never before.

The performance matches the raw and heavy sound, utilizing the Krump genre during the chorus to radiate explosive energy. In contrast, the groovy hip-hop dance in the verses and pre-chorus maximizes Taeyong’s fluid dance lines.

The “Storm” performance video depicts a narrative where Taeyong’s footsteps awaken a sleeping world through dynamic group choreography. Starting minimally, the performance reaches a climax as the scene shifts to a blue night with lightning and storms, providing a thrilling sense of catharsis.

Taeyong’s first full album ‘WYLD’ will be released on May 18 at 6 PM. It will feature 10 tracks, including the title song of the same name, all of which Taeyong participated in producing.
