Entertainer Noh Hong-chul recently took on a massive challenge, riding his bike all the way from Seoul to Gimhae and back!
On May 22, a video titled “Noh Hong-chul sleeping on the road after 10 hours of riding” was uploaded to his YouTube channel, ‘Noh Hong-chul,’ capturing his eye-catching journey to Gimhae.
It all started when Noh Hong-chul happened to meet the manager of the Gimhae branch of ‘Hong-chul’s Bakery’ in Seoul. After hearing about some new menu items, he promised to visit Gimhae for a taste test.
However, his busy schedule made it nearly impossible to find time. Determined, he adjusted his meetings to make the trip overnight. While the drive takes about 3 hours by car, he explained that the ride takes over 7 hours, leaving fans amazed by his dedication.
During his dawn ride, he stopped in Mungyeong to get some rest at a jjimjilbang. While getting a traditional body scrub, he expressed excitement, noting that he usually goes to the same person in his neighborhood but was trying someone new today.
The scrub technician recognized him and jokingly asked, “Why aren’t you married?” adding a warning that “loneliness hits once you pass 50,” which sparked laughter.
The 47-year-old Noh Hong-chul seemed lost in thought, replying, “I don’t have much time left then.” After leaving the sauna, he pushed forward and finally arrived in Gimhae.
Once there, he tasted the new menu items at his store and heard that other nearby bakeries had closed. Showing his generous side, he remarked, “I hoped they would do well.”
Noh Hong-chul eventually made his way back to Seoul via another dawn ride. At a gas station for his final fill-up, he shared, “If you ask why I go this far, I don’t know either. I look like a beggar and my body is wrecked, but bike riding is just so much fun!”
