Noh Hong-chul’s Real Estate Heartbreak: “Price Dropped 400 Million Won Right After I Bought It!”

Broadcaster Noh Hong-chul shared a bitter story about the decline in house prices.

On the 15th, a video titled “Noh Hong-chul is surprised by the realistic monthly rent life of today’s youth” was uploaded to his YouTube channel.

Recalling his time in a 30-pyeong apartment in Apgujeong, Noh shared, “I was beaten up while living there. I was terrorized.” Back in 2008, he was attacked by a stranger while heading home, resulting in a torn ear and fractured ribs, requiring five weeks for recovery. Even then, Noh was seen comforting the attacker despite his injuries.

Noh recalled, “There was no reason for me to be hit. I didn’t realize the person was mentally ill and thought it was just a misunderstanding. He beat me like he wanted to kill me. I was bleeding everywhere.” He continued, “Things calmed down after the police arrived. People around me warned me that it would be dangerous to stay there and urged me to move to a place with better security. So, I moved to a larger place,” explaining that he purchased a 50-pyeong Apgujeong Hyundai apartment.

When the PD asked, “That house must have become a huge windfall later,” Noh expressed his bitterness, saying, “I thought I got it at a great price, but the value dropped by 400 million won as soon as I bought it.”
