Trot singer Park Gun (real name Park Jun-woo) and entertainer Han Young have cleared up rumors of divorce and separation, revealing they have decided to let go of their plans for a child after long efforts, including IVF.

The couple, who have been married for five years, appeared on the SBS variety show ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny’ to share an update on their lives.

During the show, Han Young addressed the persistent online rumors of divorce and separation, saying, “I received so many messages from acquaintances asking if I was okay. That’s when I realized fake news was circulating.”

She firmly denied the claims, adding, “We are living happily, so I don’t know why these divorce stories keep coming up. The rumors of separation and divorce are completely false. We’ve never even mentioned the word ‘divorce’.”

The couple also revealed that they spent the last two years preparing for a baby through IVF.

Park Gun comforted Han Young, saying, “My wife went through so much, undergoing IVF while balancing her home shopping work without telling anyone. She has a strong sense of responsibility and pride, so she must have struggled a lot on her own.”

Han Young shared her hardships, stating, “For two years, I almost never rested, undergoing egg retrieval and transfers every month. My body was exhausted, and I became very sensitive.” It was revealed that she underwent a total of 24 egg retrievals and 7 transfers over those two years.

Park Gun added sadly, “To increase the chances, she even took injections to lower her immunity. Because of the hormonal changes, her face was constantly swollen, which led some people to mistakenly think she wasn’t taking care of herself.”

Ultimately, after much thought, the couple decided to give up on their plans for a child.

Han Young explained, “I felt like we had done everything we could and decided that I couldn’t do it anymore. We concluded that the two of us should just live happily together.”

Park Gun showed his affection, saying, “I was the one who suggested we stop first. I told her that whether we have a child or not, let’s just live happily together as we are now.”
