Park Jeong-min Supports Director Yeon Sang-ho's 'Gunche' with Special GV Featuring YouTuber Dangun!

According to distributor Showbox, the movie ‘Gunche’ will meet its audience through a special Guest Visit (GV) featuring actor Park Jeong-min, YouTuber Dangun, and reporter Lee Hwa-jung. ‘Gunche’ tells the story of isolated survivors fighting against infected beings that evolve in unpredictable ways inside a building locked down due to a mysterious infection. The film opens on the 21st.

“Zombie Master” Director Yeon Sang-ho returns with ‘Gunche’, a new-concept zombie genre film that introduces the birth of a species never seen before. The movie is already creating a buzz for delivering high-speed genre thrills while posing deep questions about humanity and collectivism, making fans even more excited for the rich discussions coming in the GV.

Expectations are high as Park Jeong-min reunites with Director Yeon Sang-ho. Park previously received praise for his powerful dual performance as the young Lim Young-gyu and his son Lim Dong-hwan in the movie ‘Face’, which was lauded for its sharp themes and solid quality.

Adding to the excitement is YouTuber Dangun, who previously heated up the atmosphere during the ‘Face’ GV with witty banter and deep insights alongside Director Yeon and Park Jeong-min. Fans are eagerly anticipating the delightful chemistry and interesting stories they will share this time around.

Ahead of its release, ‘Gunche’ was invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which opened on the 12th (local time), and had its world premiere on the 15th.

With ‘Gunche’, Director Yeon Sang-ho has achieved the incredible milestone of entering Cannes for the fourth time. Starting with the animation ‘The King of Pigs’ in the Director’s Fortnight in 2012, followed by the live-action hits ‘Train to Busan’ (2016) and ‘Peninsula’ (2020), he has once again been called by Cannes, proving he is truly a director loved by the festival.
