During the second part of the 26th Baeksang Arts Awards aired on the 8th, Park Ji-hoon from the movie ‘The Man Living with the King’ (Wang-sa-nam) found himself in a tricky spot, choosing senior actor Yoo Hae-jin over director Jang Hang-jun.

To lighten the mood before the awards, MC Shin Dong-yup threw a curveball question at Park Ji-hoon, asking, “Who would you choose between director Jang Hang-jun and actor Yoo Hae-jin?”

Looking quite conflicted, Park Ji-hoon laughed and replied, “It feels like being asked if I like Mom or Dad more, but I’ll go with senior Yoo Hae-jin.”

He explained his choice by saying, “The director trusted and liked me a lot, but I have so many happy memories and shared energy with senior Yoo Hae-jin on set.” This prompted director Jang Hang-jun to give a funny thumbs-down with a dissatisfied face, leaving the audience in stitches.

Shin Dong-yup then turned to Jang Hang-jun and asked, “Do you want to win the Best Director award by yourself, or would you prefer the Best Picture award?” Jang Hang-jun caused a burst of laughter with a slip of the tongue, replying, “I want the Best Director award that everyone is happy with… I mean, the Best Picture award!”
