Park Jinyoung is making his return as a singer!
He will release his second mini album, ‘Said & Done’, on the 13th. This album is a work that weaves together emotions and memories he has held in his heart for a long time, showcasing a deeper musical world.
Since his time with GOT7, Park Jinyoung has established a unique presence within the team, focusing on vocals and performance. Based on his emotional tone and stable expression, he has steadily built musical achievements. Starting with the 2021 single ‘DIVE’ and followed by his first solo EP ‘Chapter 0: WITH’ in 2023, he clearly defined his direction as a solo artist by honestly unfolding intimate emotions and personal stories. Since then, he has naturally captured life’s worries and moments of growth in his work while crossing between music and acting, continuing to communicate with the public in his own speed and language.
The second mini album ‘Said & Done’ was completed by gathering various emotions and memories Park Jinyoung encountered throughout his life, including childhood moments, the music of the era, and emotions that have faded over time. It tells a story about the one emotion that ultimately connects us even in a constantly changing era: “what remains in the end.”
The album title ‘Said & Done’ implies that “after all languages and stories have passed, what remains in the end is love.” Rather than providing a definitive answer, it is an album that starts from very private emotions and makes one reflect on what ultimately remains in the heart. It quietly evokes emotions that each person still wants to hold onto in their own life.
This album features a variety of genres, from danceable pop that modernly reinterprets 90s sensibilities to R&B with jazzy brass sounds and ethereal dream-pop. In particular, the quality was enhanced through collaborations with artists he has shared musical connections with for a long time. He completed a richer sound through ‘Seventeen’ featuring Wonpil of the band DAY6, ‘One-sided Love’ with singer-songwriter Choi Yu-ree, and work with producer Gurum.
