Actress Park Kyung-hye recently held a Q&A session.
On her YouTube channel ‘Kyung-hye Bollae’, Park shared, “I really love giving advice and finding people I can share worries with. It gives me so much strength. That’s why I wanted to do this, though I did worry about what to do if I couldn’t provide a clear solution.”
She added, “But wanting to solve someone’s problem perfectly is just greed. I told myself not to be too greedy about giving an amazing solution and just to do my best!”
During the session, a subscriber in their late 30s asked for tips on preparing to live alone for the first time. Park advised, “Set a precise budget. You need to plan ahead and find a place that fits within that budget. I had a car, and I noticed that almost everywhere except for my current place charged extra for parking. When I thought about electricity and gas bills, plus parking fees, I felt like a million won would just vanish in the blink of an eye. But at this house, parking was free.”

She also noted, “You have to look at the house very carefully. Since the previous tenant was still there, I felt it was rude to poke through their belongings, so I just took a quick look from the entrance. You really need to check for things like mold and the condition of the bathroom. It’s best to discuss any necessary repairs with the landlord before moving in.”
Park candidly shared, “When I went to see another place, I saw bug repellent sitting on top of the refrigerator. I immediately sensed it was a cockroach-prone area. When I came to this house, I asked the previous owner, ‘I’m so sorry, but could you tell me honestly? Have you ever seen cockroaches while living here?’ They told me there were no cockroaches, just some fruit flies or small bugs. I figured as long as there were no cockroaches, I’d take it!”

Finally, she advised, “You must carefully check the certified copy of the register. Usually, in villas, units are owned individually, but in this case, one person owns the entire building. I was told that if any problems arise, it would be easier to get the monthly rent deposit back.”
