Entertainer Park Na-rae, currently caught in a storm of disputes with former managers and allegations of illegal medical practices, is heading in for her third police investigation.
On the 11th, Park Na-rae is scheduled to be questioned at the Gangnam Police Station on charges including special injury, defamation, violation of the Information and Communications Network Act, and violation of the Medical Service Act. This marks her third appearance following previous summons in February and March.
While the investigation is nearing its conclusion, Park Na-rae and her former managers remain at odds over key issues. Park’s side claims the nutritional supplements were administered legally following medical prescriptions, but the medical community continues to question the credentials and identity of the practitioner referred to as the “Injection Aunt.”
The situation began in December last year when former managers alleged they suffered verbal abuse and assault from Park Na-rae, while also raising suspicions of proxy prescriptions and illegal procedures via the “Injection Aunt.” The controversy expanded further as the names of SHINee’s Key and Jun Hyun-moo were mentioned.
Beyond these claims, Park Na-rae and the former managers are clashing over various issues, including workplace harassment, pressure to reach settlements, and embezzlement. Park’s side has counter-sued the former managers for attempted extortion and professional embezzlement, claiming they threatened her with false information. In total, there are eight lawsuits and complaints involved, with six at the Gangnam Police Station and two at the Yongsan Police Station.
During her previous two investigations, Park Na-rae stated, “I am cooperating sincerely with the police investigation and will clearly correct any parts that are not true.”
