On the 5th, POW is diving into a new musical experiment with the release of “WHY,” the first track from “The Demo Tape #1.”
The “The Demo Tape” project involves members creating music based on their own stories and then hosting listening sessions together. The project aims to offer comfort and empathy by exploring small yet lingering emotions one song at a time.
This project was designed to expand the team’s creative capabilities and deliver more sincere messages by turning daily emotions and thoughts into music.
“WHY” is an R&B soul track that is even more special as it was written and composed by member Jungbin. The song delicately captures subtle emotions that bloom in fleeting moments, honestly portraying the growing feelings and confusion within a relationship that is difficult to define.
Regarding the inspiration for the song, Jungbin shared, “I captured the emotions that came to me while watching two people in front of a school, wondering if they were joking or being serious.” He added, “I wanted to express the feeling of being constantly bothered by something even when trying to brush it off, and the complex emotions of being shaken by another person’s actions.”
He continued, “I’m nervous but excited to be the first member to showcase a song in this self-composed project. I hope the fans love it.”
Meanwhile, POW is a multinational boy group that debuted in October 2023.
