Psy Proves His Power in Global Documentary, Remaining the Benchmark of K-pop

Singer Psy is set to reaffirm his status as the “original K-pop icon” through global content.

CNN International will premiere its new documentary series, “K-Everything,” on the 9th (KST).

“K-Everything” is a four-part program that examines the origins and influence of Korean content currently leading global cultural trends. Hosted by Daniel Dae Kim, the series highlights various fields including K-pop, dramas, food, and beauty.

Psy will appear in the K-pop episode to share his perspectives on the key drivers of K-pop’s growth, such as the expansion of global fandoms and changes in industry structure, during a conversation with Daniel Dae Kim.

In a trailer released on the 6th, the passion of his “Summerswag” concert brand was captured along with his honest reflections. When asked about the era after “Gangnam Style,” Psy confessed, “As a singer, it’s eternal, but from a songwriter’s perspective, dreams and nightmares coexist. I always wonder if I can surpass that song.”

The series will first air on the CNN International channel on the 9th at 9 PM and will be streamed via official CNN platforms. In Korea, it is available on Coupang Play, and in some global regions, it can be viewed on HBO Max.
