Singer and actor Rain recently opened up about Kim Jong Kook’s impressive boxing skills.
During the May 11 episode of the SBS variety show ‘Ani Geunde Jinjja!’ (A-Geun-Jin), Rain appeared as a guest and sparked interest by admitting that his boxing abilities are far below those of Kim Jong Kook.
While discussing the Netflix series ‘Bloodhounds 2’, Rain confessed, “I didn’t know boxing was this hard.” He revealed that he was so impressed by the action in the first season of ‘Bloodhounds’ that he decided to join the second season without even reading the script.
Hearing this, Tak Jae Hoon asked, “Kim Jong Kook does boxing too. Why wasn’t he cast?” While Rain was baffled by the sudden question, Kai egged him on, claiming, “Hyung says he can beat Kim Jong Kook if they fight.”

Rain looked appalled, telling Kai, “This guy is really bad.” Despite pressure from Tak Jae Hoon and Kai to claim he is stronger than Kim Jong Kook, Rain firmly refused, lamenting, “If this goes out on air, I’m really dead.”
He continued, “I hate fighting. I’m not good at boxing. Jong Kook hyung will definitely win.” This led Lee Su Ji to ask, “Then between Kim Jong Kook and Rain, who has the better body?”
Rain once again credited Kim Jong Kook. However, the other members teased him when he mentioned focusing on his upper body over his lower body for the “fit,” jokingly asking, “Are you saying Kim Jong Kook’s fit isn’t great?” and “Are you saying he waddles when he walks?” bringing laughter to the set.
