Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) appeared on ‘Zip Daesung’ and shared how proud he felt watching BIGBANG’s Daesung take the stage at Coachella.
A new video was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Zip Daesung’ featuring Rain, who recently made a comeback with his new single ‘FEEL IT (너야)’.
Rain revealed his history with BIGBANG, mentioning he met them through Yang Hyun-suk when the group first debuted. He confessed that at the time, BIGBANG felt like they were from a “different world” compared to typical idols who focused on perfectly synchronized choreography, leading him to wonder, “Is it okay to just play like that?” To this, Daesung jokingly defended himself, saying, “We also aim for synchronized dancing and practice for it. In the practice room, we all match perfectly.”
Rain then brought up Daesung’s Coachella performance, recalling, “I saw you come out, but I don’t remember anyone else. I can’t believe you sang trot!” Daesung had previously gone viral for introducing himself in Korean on a massive electronic screen and performing a trot stage at Coachella held last month in Indio, California.
Rain admitted he felt a sense of pride, calling it “surprising!” He added a laugh-inducing comment, saying, “I watched your whole performance, and I could see you laughing a bit while doing it.” Rain expressed his envy, saying, “I want to work hard so I can also do a big ‘Hello, I am Rain Jung Ji-hoon’ introduction in Korean.”
Meanwhile, ‘Zip Daesung’ is a talk show where Daesung, who is high-tension on the outside but a total homebody who only knows his house and lessons, goes on outings with various guests. New episodes are released every Friday at 6 PM on the official YouTube channel.
