RAIN to Bring the Heat at 2026 Weverse Con Festival with a Stage for All Generations!

“It’ll be like a ‘comprehensive gift set’ featuring the music, performances, and stage production that define RAIN!”

RAIN has revealed the direction for his Tribute Stage at the “2026 Weverse Con Festival” (hereafter WeConFe). Expressing his desire to share the joy of music, RAIN is expected to showcase the essence of his musical journey through his most iconic hits.

As a selected Tribute Artist for WeConFe, RAIN will reinterpret his long-beloved signature stages with a fresh, 2026 sensibility.

Ahead of his appearance at the festival on June 6 and 7 at Olympic Park’s KSPO DOME and 88 Grass Square, RAIN shared these plans through a written interview with the organizers.

The “Tribute Stage” is a special segment that spotlights artists who have had a profound impact on Korean popular music history. It consists of a solo performance by the Tribute Artist and tribute stages by their juniors. Previous Tribute Artists include the late Shin Hae-chul, Seo Taiji, Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Jin-young, and BoA.

RAIN shared his excitement, saying, “Since I’m following in the footsteps of seniors who left such wonderful legacies, I want to make the festival richer with my own unique color.” The WeConFe organizers explained the selection, noting that RAIN set a new standard for K-pop soloists and significantly raised the status of K-pop by becoming the first solo artist to successfully complete a world tour.

On the Tribute Stage, RAIN will provide a unique experience by reinterpreting his representative songs and performances with a modern touch. Celebrating his 27th debut anniversary, RAIN has always cited his “constant effort to present new content and stages” as his driving force, and this performance will feature new compositions and production.

“I want to bring deep nostalgia to the generation that shared my musical journey, and a fresh shock, like an ‘old future,’ to teenagers who may be unfamiliar with the music of that time,” RAIN said. “Because I believe in the power of great music that transcends eras, I am preparing a stage that all generations can enjoy together.”

He also teased the stage production, hinting, “I will actively use symbolic stage elements. Just by watching the performance, you’ll be able to feel the musical world of the artist RAIN.”

The message RAIN wants to convey to the audience is: “The person who will fully enjoy this moment, it’s YOU (FEEL IT).” “FEEL IT” is RAIN’s new song released on May 11, combining the meanings of “Fill it up” (filling life with joy) and “Feel It” (fully experiencing the senses and energy of the moment). He promised a passionate connection with the audience, adding, “Just like the meaning in ‘FEEL IT,’ I want to share the joy of enjoying music we love.”

RAIN also expressed anticipation for the tribute stages prepared by his juniors, where they will reinterpret his hits with their own emotions and styles. “I’m happy that my music seems to keep living and moving through the next generation,” he added. “I hope the audience feels the message that ‘music does not divide generations’ through a beautiful stage where the past and future of K-pop coexist harmoniously.”

He didn’t forget to cheer on his juniors, saying, “I hope they create a stage where they can truly shine. If the heart that sincerely enjoys the song is conveyed, that alone will make it a wonderful performance.”

Regarding WeConFe, RAIN highlighted its significance, calling it “a stage to reflect on oneself and gain new energy as various artists gather, and a precious opportunity for seniors and juniors to mingle without boundaries.” He praised the festival’s distinctiveness, noting that “respect for the artist is felt” and that there is “a delicacy in treating the history of music with care.”

Finally, RAIN sent a message to the fans: “Thank you for joining me with a heart that loves music. I hope you can put aside all your worries for a moment and be as happy as possible within the music.”

WeConFe is a music festival that unites music fans worldwide, crossing genres and generations. Now in its fourth year since starting in 2023, this year’s event will simultaneously operate the outdoor “Weverse Park” and the indoor “Weverse Con.” It promises a feast of sights with its largest-ever lineup, featuring a total of 30 teams.
