Rapper Jung Sang-soo Opens New Hip Hop Club in Gangneung!

Rapper Jung Sang-soo has shared an update about opening a hip hop club in Gangneung.

On the 30th of last month, Jung Sang-soo took to his SNS to share the news ahead of the opening. He explained the reason for a slight delay in the schedule, stating, “While preparing, I initially announced the opening for the 24th and it went viral, but I decided to open on the 1st as there were several more things that needed to be prepared.”

He also introduced the direction of the club’s operations, saying, “Since skilled DJs will be rotating to play music, you can enjoy a variety of selections and sounds, and several fellow artists will also be performing live.”

Following this, Jung Sang-soo officially opened the hip hop club in Gangneung on the 1st. The exterior is designed with a strong hip hop vibe, featuring a large eye-catching sign that reads “BLASTA HIP HOP CLUB,” along with graffiti-style characters and the words “HIP HOP” at the entrance.

However, netizens are divided over the exterior design. Some expressed negative reactions, commenting that “the interior is tacky and doesn’t fit current trends” and “it looks like a game room from the 80s or 90s.”

Meanwhile, Jung Sang-soo debuted with a single album in 2009. He gained significant recognition after appearing on Mnet’s “Show Me The Money 3,” but later faced controversies involving drunk disturbances and DUI. Recently, he attempted a comeback through “Show Me The Money 12,” but unfortunately was eliminated in the third round of auditions.
