Rhymer took to Instagram on the 26th to share a touching message: “Our beloved AB6IX, ABNEW, and Brand New, everyone worked so hard!”
He continued, “Thanks to you, I was able to dream new dreams and I was truly happy. Thank you! I also want to tell my fearless and passionate youth that it worked really hard. You did great!”
Along with the message, Rhymer shared photos taken with the AB6IX members at various concerts, expressing his deep affection for each of them. AB6IX recently wrapped up their 7th anniversary concert, ‘6IX TO SEVEN’, held on the 23rd and 24th at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall.
He added, “We are currently having in-depth discussions with the members regarding contract renewals, and the company will fully respect and support the choices of the members as they stand at a new starting point.”
Brand New Music commented on the group, stating, “As the first idol group of Brand New Music, they are a meaningful team that presented new musical directions and possibilities for our company.” The agency added, “Throughout the journey from MXM and Wanna One to AB6IX, the members have constantly grown in their own ways and solidified their positions as artists. We will provide our full support to ensure all activities scheduled through May and the 2026 AB6IX concert ‘6IX TO SEVEN’ are successfully completed.”
After the 7th anniversary concert, AB6IX shared their gratitude: “Thank you to the fans who were with us during the brilliant moments of our youth,” and “The moments we cried and were happy together with our fans are what made AB6IX who we are today.” They added, “Thank you to the fans who silently stayed by our side. Please look forward to the day we return as AB6IX and repay all the love we’ve received.”
With the conclusion of this concert, AB6IX’s exclusive contract with Brand New Music has ended. The group plans to enter a hiatus for a while to focus on individual activities.
