Singer Roy Kim recently shared some candid stories from his time serving in the Marine Corps.
On the 21st, a video titled “If you ask me what the truth is | EP.16 Roy Kim” was uploaded to Lee Yong-jin’s YouTube channel, ‘Ipman Yeolmyeon’.
During the episode, Roy Kim chatted with Lee Yong-jin while hooked up to a lie detector. He revealed that shower time during his service was just as overwhelming as the high-intensity training.
He shared, “When I showered at the training center, my fellow soldiers would rush over to take a look and check. There was this atmosphere where everyone was glancing and trying to verify things,” leaving the audience feeling for him.
He lamented that the persistent stares didn’t stop at the showers, but even followed him to the restrooms at rest areas, questioning, “Why would they even do that?”
In response, Lee Yong-jin shared his own experience, saying, “In the army, people kept glancing so much that I just thought, ‘Hey, just come and look!’ and lay down on the floor.” He added, “I figured if they saw everything quickly, I could shower in peace from then on,” which left everyone in bursts of laughter.
