At the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 8th at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Ryu Seung-ryong took home the Grand Prize in the TV category for the JTBC drama ‘Chief Kim’s Story of Living in His Own House in Seoul’ (hereafter ‘Kim-bujang Story’).
Previously, Yoo Hae-jin appeared on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ in 2022 and revealed that during their struggling days, he was offered a part-time job assembling bidets at a factory and brought Ryu Seung-ryong along to work with him.
Ryu Seung-ryong mentioned Yoo Hae-jin during his Grand Prize acceptance speech, recalling, “I remember struggling together while putting up posters at a theater in New York 30 years ago.” He added, “I also remember the time we worked part-time at the factory for a month. I’m deeply moved that the two of us are receiving Grand Prizes side by side,” expressing his emotion over both of them growing into ‘Grand Prize actors.’
