Young-sook from ‘I Am Solo’ Season 8 has shared the happy news of her upcoming marriage!
On the 11th, a video titled “Season 8 Young-sook’s fateful meeting with her fiancé!” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Solo Movie’.
While catching up with Season 4 Young-soo, Young-sook revealed her news, saying, “I’ve been busy working and preparing for my wedding.” She visited a makeup shop to get ready for her pre-wedding snap photos. When Young-soo asked about the groom, she explained, “He’ll be here soon. Since women’s makeup takes two hours and men’s takes one, I booked his appointment later.”
As Young-sook was getting her makeup done, her fiancé arrived. He shared the story of how they met, saying, “I was lucky. I reached out quite late, about three years after the broadcast. I found and followed her after ‘I Am Solo: Love Forever’ and kept up with her through SNS. I eventually sent a DM saying, ‘You probably receive a lot of messages like this, but you seemed so wonderful on the show. If you aren’t seeing anyone, would it be okay if I contacted you?'”
Young-sook recalled, “I couldn’t even finish watching my own appearance on ‘I Am Solo: Love Forever’ because it was so shocking. I felt so grateful that he liked the parts of me that I don’t even like. That’s why I replied with a thank you.” She added, “He took the lead in our meeting. He asked to grab a meal, and when I said we could meet when I had time, he immediately asked when. He kept pushing, so I eventually agreed to meet!”
Before their first date, Young-sook checked his profile. “He doesn’t use SNS much, so there weren’t many photos, but his identity was clear. His job and company were listed, so I felt he was trustworthy,” she shared. It turns out her fiancé runs a fitness center in Gangnam. He added, “She was so wonderful that I debated whether to contact her or not as time passed, but I eventually decided to go for it, even if I got rejected.”
