Broadcaster Seo Dong-ju visited a famous traditional clinic to try for a pregnancy after overcoming the pain of infertility.
A recent video uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Seo Dong-ju’s Tto.Do.Dong’ shows Seo Dong-ju and her husband visiting a well-known traditional clinic in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
With a 130-year tradition, the clinic is known as a so-called “pregnancy sanctuary.” Regarding the clinic, which is famous for treating infertility, Seo Dong-ju explained, “I saw it on a show before, and I heard that Director Jang Hang-jun and Writer Kim Eun-hee’s couple became pregnant after visiting this clinic.”

At the clinic, Seo Dong-ju opened up about her struggles, revealing that she has undergone egg retrieval 10 times for IVF and has experienced one miscarriage.
After checking the pulses of both Seo Dong-ju and her husband, the doctor cheered them on, saying, “Once you have a baby, you’ll be a 100% daughter-fool.”
The couple received a 20-day supply of herbal medicine. Seo Dong-ju shared, “The doctor said that because I have such great stamina and a positive personality, I lived my life overworking myself without sleeping, not even realizing how hard it was, which led to this situation.” She added, “He said if it weren’t for the pregnancy issue, I’m the type of person who would live healthily until 100.”
She continued, “Regardless of the result, I feel like I’m doing the absolute best I can as a human being. If it still doesn’t work despite my efforts, I think I can accept that as my fate. I feel much lighter now.”
Seo Dong-ju is the daughter of the late comedian Seo Se-won and broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee. She married a Harvard-educated Korean-American businessman in 2010 through an arranged marriage but divorced in 2014. Last June, she remarried a man four years her junior who works in the entertainment industry.
Seo Dong-ju had previously shared the news of her pregnancy through IVF, but later confessed to a missed miscarriage, saying goodbye to her baby, nicknamed Chil-bok.
