Seong I-eon, Park Sol-la, Seo Do-young, and Jeon Seung-bin Join the Youth Lineup for MBC's New Drama 'Family Relationship Certificate'!

MBC’s new daily drama ‘Family Relationship Certificate’ (Planned by Namgung Seong-woo and Jang Jae-hoon / Directed by Kim Mi-sook / Written by Park Ji-hyun / Produced by MBC C&I and Void) tells the story of a child branded as a bringer of misfortune from birth and a woman who fights to reclaim her life amidst prejudice and a cold reality. The series is garnering anticipation for its realistic portrayal of family conflicts, wounds, and the process of healing.

Interest is peaking as writer Park Ji-hyun, known for ‘Well Done Really’ and ‘Well Done Well Done’, teams up with director Kim Mi-sook, who directed ‘Always Spring Day’, ‘Bad Love’, and ‘Brave Yong Su-jeong’. With Park Se-young, Han Go-eun, and Im Ji-eun already confirmed, the addition of Seong I-eon, Park Sol-la, Seo Do-young, and Jeon Seung-bin completes a solid lineup.

First, Seong I-eon will play Im Ji-hoo, the head of the Korea Art & Culture Center. Im Ji-hoo is a character who possesses both kindness and strength despite a cold aura, and is also a talented pianist. As a complex character living with childhood wounds and loneliness, Seong I-eon plans to delicately express the character’s inner self with his signature deep atmosphere.

Park Sol-la will transform into Do Do-hee, a famous influencer and Western painter. While she attracts attention with her glamorous lifestyle and trendy image, she is a character who lives with a sense of void due to an upbringing where only perfection was demanded. She is expected to bring tension and energy to the drama through the honest and unpredictable charm of Do Do-hee.

Seo Do-young will meet viewers as Cha Seung-hyun, a grade 7 postal civil servant. Cha Seung-hyun is a highly responsible individual who has silently sacrificed his own life for his family, possessing a steady and sincere personality. His loyal side, staying by the people he cares about until the end, is expected to evoke realistic empathy.

Jeon Seung-bin will deliver a passionate performance as Cha Seung-woo, a PD in the education department of a broadcasting station. Cha Seung-woo is an ace at the station with the drive to push through to his goals, combining a strong personality with a sophisticated sense. While he may seem bold on the outside, he has a surprising charm of being sweeter than anyone to his family.

The production team stated, “All four actors have the acting skills to three-dimensionally express the individuality and emotions of each character,” adding, “We plan to sincerely depict the process of characters with wounds growing and changing through one another.”

Meanwhile, MBC’s new daily drama ‘Family Relationship Certificate’ will follow ‘First Man’ and premiere on July 6.
