SEVENTEEN's Hoshi Spreads Love During Military Service with a Heartwarming Donation!

It has come to light that SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi made a generous donation while serving in the military.

The Community Chest of Korea (Chungnam) informed Dispatch on the 8th that Hoshi donated 10 million won to the ‘Devotion to Country, Love for Comrades Fund’.

The ‘Devotion to Country, Love for Comrades Fund’ is designed to support military personnel, providing financial aid to comrades and their families who have suffered unexpected accidents.

Hoshi donated the 10 million won last month. Because he made the donation under his real name, Kwon Soon-young, it took some time for the Community Chest to identify him.

His kindness didn’t start with the military; Hoshi has a history of giving back to the community. He has consistently donated alongside his family and is a member of the ‘Honor Society’.

The ‘Honor Society’ is a group for social leaders established in December 2007. Membership is granted to those who donate or pledge 100 million won or more to the Community Chest.

Hoshi became an Honor Society member in 2021. His father, Kwon Hyuk-doo, joined in 2024, and his mother, Park Mi-young, also became eligible for membership last year.

Currently, Hoshi is serving in the Army Military Band and Honor Guard’s Taekwondo Demonstration Team. He is scheduled to be discharged on March 15, 2027.
