Comedian Shim Hyun-sub has revealed how his style has completely transformed since getting married!
In the TV Chosun show ‘Lovers of Joseon’ aired on the 18th, the daily lives of Shim Hyun-sub and Jung Young-rim, who are celebrating their first wedding anniversary, were showcased.
The production team visited the couple’s newlyweds’ home in Ulsan, where they have lived for two years. When asked how they’ve been, Jung Young-rim shared, “We’ve been eating and sleeping well, and I’m trying to help him get healthier by establishing a routine. Because of that, he’s gained some weight and his face looks much better.”
When the crew noted that Shim Hyun-sub’s complexion seemed to have improved, Jung Young-rim laughed and explained, “It’s not so much that his complexion improved, but rather that he didn’t really manage his beard or nose hair before. Just by taking care of those things, people started saying he looks better.”
Shim Hyun-sub shared his wife’s enthusiastic approach to his grooming: “In the morning, the moment the elevator door closes as I’m heading out, she yells, ‘Oppa!’ I wonder if I forgot something, but she actually runs all the way down to the first floor to tell me to shave my beard and trim my nose hair. If I wear weird pants, she chases after me!”
Thanks to his wife’s dedicated efforts, Shim Hyun-sub’s much cleaner style compared to his pre-marriage days caught the production team’s attention.
Young-rim jokingly lamented, “People probably assume that since he’s married, his wife will take care of him. That’s why we fight every day. I tell him, ‘If you go out looking like that, I’m the one who gets criticized!'”
