Koyote’s Kim Jong-min and Bbaekga delivered heartfelt wedding speeches for their teammate and friend of 26 years, Shinji.
On the 13th, a video titled “The day Shinji, not Koyote’s Shinji, got married as Lee Ji-sun” was uploaded to Shinji’s YouTube channel ‘How about Shinji?!?’.
The video captures the wedding ceremony of Shinji and singer Moonwon (real name Sang-moon) held on the 2nd, featuring the full speeches from her fellow members.
Kim Jong-min, the first to speak, said, “It’s been almost 27 years since we’ve been together. You’ve really endured and worked hard in this tough entertainment industry.” He added a funny anecdote, “I’m saying this for the first time, but I was so grateful when you told me to split the event fees 5:5 in the past. I’ve been thankful my whole life, wondering why I got 5 when Shinji did all the singing,” leaving the guests in laughter.
He continued, “I bless Shinji, who has such a warm heart, on her marriage,” and promised, “Since Shinji found someone she loves, we will love Sang-moon (Moonwon) too.” He added a playful request to Moonwon, “Please make sure Shinji is happy and only has reasons to smile. That way, it’ll be easier for us when we perform,” showing his supportive “big brother” side.
Bbaekga also cheered on Shinji’s new beginning with a sincere message, sparking laughter by mentioning, “For this one, I wrote it myself without any help from AI.”
Bbaekga continued, “I was actually more worried about the person marrying you. I hoped for someone stronger and more understanding than anyone else, and I’m relieved that your husband seems healthy and understanding.” He added, “I’ve watched all your joys and sorrows as a friend and colleague from our 20s until our mid-40s, and in the end, you are a strong person who overcomes everything.”
Bbaekga moved Shinji to tears by saying, “I believe you will live well. There may be hard days, but don’t worry because you have me and Jong-min hyung. I wish you only happiness and peace, and let’s keep doing Koyote for a long, long time.”
Meanwhile, Shinji tied the knot with singer Moonwon, who is seven years her junior, on the 2nd.
