Tcast E Channel’s ‘Brave Detectives 5’ recently unveiled the shocking true faces and unimaginable, bizarre acts of criminals, leaving viewers stunned.
The 7th episode of ‘Brave Detectives 5’, aired on the 8th at 9:50 PM, delved into the 2009 ‘Apartment Three Mother and Children Fire Death Case’. What initially seemed like a tragic fire quickly turned into a murder investigation when stab wounds were discovered on the bodies of a woman and her four-year-old child found at the scene.
When the husband, identified as Mr. Kim (a pseudonym), arrived at the scene, he wept uncontrollably. However, detectives couldn’t shake their suspicion after noticing his singed eyebrows and hair. The truth that eventually came to light was utterly horrific.
Mr. Kim claimed he acted impulsively after his wife criticized his in-laws’ financial issues. Shockingly, after murdering his wife, he then killed their first child who woke up crying. He then covered their second sleeping child with a blanket and set the apartment ablaze. Further investigations revealed Mr. Kim was having an affair and had taken out a staggering nine insurance policies under his family members’ names.
Watching the case unfold, MC Kwak Sun-young was moved to tears of anger by the husband’s shameless act of wailing at the crime scene. Ultimately, Mr. Kim was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The episode then moved to another chilling case from 2003: the ‘Female Kidnapping and Corpse Mutilation Coercion Case’, presented by the National Forensic Service (KCSI). Its brutality was so extreme it brought back memories of the notorious ‘Jijonpa Incident’ of the 90s.
A woman in her 30s, who was kidnapped by men she met via internet chat, endured not only sexual assault but was also horrifyingly forced by her captors to dismember a man’s body. In a truly bizarre and cruel act, the criminals made the victim assist in the mutilation and then took photos using a disposable camera.
Among the arrested culprits, the younger brother displayed shocking audacity by posing with a ‘V’ sign in front of a barrel containing the dismembered body and taking a photo. The absurd motives behind the crime left everyone aghast. The criminals offered statements that defied all common sense, including, “I killed him because his appearance annoyed me,” and “I got angry because his voice was similar to the boyfriend of a woman I liked.”
The younger brother, identified as the primary perpetrator, received a life sentence, while his older brother was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
