Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young are finally facing the truth after 30 long years in ‘Scarecrow’. Plus, Song Geon-hee, whose character previously met a tragic end, is making a comeback as a brand new character, grabbing everyone’s attention!
The team behind the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’ (Directed by Park Jun-woo, Written by Lee Ji-hyun, Planned by KT Studio Genie, Produced by Studio Anzailen) released stills on the 25th showing Kang Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo), Cha Si-young (Lee Hee-joon), and Seo Ji-won (Kwak Sun-young) in the year 2019.
Curiosity is peaking with the preview of Cha Young-beom (Song Geon-hee), a young man who looks exactly like Lee Ki-beom, who suffered an unfair death during the investigation of the Gangseong serial murder case.
In previous episodes, Kang Tae-joo discovered through Park Dae-ho’s (Ryu Hae-jun) confession that Cha Si-young and other detectives had hidden the body of the deceased Yoon Hye-jin (Lee A-rin). Kang Tae-joo and Cha Si-young engaged in a dangerous game of deception over the missing body. The tension reached a breaking point when Cha Si-young, tricked into believing the real culprit had been found, buried Kang Tae-joo alive.
Meanwhile, despite Seo Ji-won’s efforts, Im Seok-man (Baek Seung-hwan) was sentenced to life imprisonment at the final trial of the 7th case. In the end, the truth was revealed by the serial killer Lee Yong-woo, also known as Lee Ki-hwan (Jung Moon-sung), who was finally captured after 30 years.
Now, the spotlight shifts to 2019, where the characters have changed significantly over the three decades.
First, the reunion between Kang Tae-joo and Cha Si-young is filled with a subtle tension that goes beyond mere awkwardness. Cha Si-young, who has become a member of the National Assembly, looks anxious the moment she sees Kang Tae-joo. From the news that the real culprit of the Gangseong serial murder case was caught to the appearance of Kang Tae-joo, who handled Lee Yong-woo’s profiling, she is on edge, fearing the secrets hidden behind her power and fame might be exposed.
Suddenly, a familiar young man appears between the two and hands a business card to Kang Tae-joo, catching everyone’s eye. Another photo shows him at ‘Noise Cut’, the media company where former Gangseong Ilbo reporter Seo Ji-won now works, further fueling curiosity.

Song Geon-hee, who left a strong impression as Lee Ki-beom (the brother of Lee Ki-hwan and lover of Kang Tae-joo’s sister, Sun-young played by Seo Ji-hye), is returning to the show.
After heartbreakingly leaving the show as a victim framed for serial murders, Song Geon-hee will soothe fans’ sadness by taking on a dual role. His new character is Cha Young-beom, an intern reporter digging for the truth. The ‘Scarecrow’ team teased that Song Geon-hee will deliver an impressive performance in the remaining two episodes.
The production team shared, “With the setting in 2019, the hidden truths of the incident from 30 years ago will resurface. The changing relationships between the characters meeting again after a long time will be a key point to watch.”
Episode 11 of ‘Scarecrow’ airs on the 25th at 10 PM on ENA and is also available on KT Genie TV and TVING.
