Song Il-gook appeared as a guest on the MBN variety show ‘Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night’ on the 23rd, where he shared some candid and open stories.
Mentioning the achievements of his maternal great-grandfather, General Kim Jwa-jin, Song Il-gook revealed that he told the triplets, “If you do something wrong, five generations will be ruined.” He joked that with General Kim Jwa-jin, Grandfather Kim Du-han, mother Kim Eul-dong, himself, the children’s mother (who is a judge), and the kids (Dae-han, Min-guk, and Man-se), “the moment anyone messes up, five generations are gone,” which brought laughter to the set.
Song Il-gook also surprised everyone by revealing that he originally wanted daughters rather than sons. He explained, “I wanted daughters because I was afraid I’d have a son just like me. I thought about having twin daughters and naming them ‘Uri’ and ‘Nara’.”
He added, “My wife almost died when she gave birth to the triplets. When I mentioned daughters, my mother-in-law grabbed my hand and said, ‘No more from my daughter,'” leaving the studio in bursts of laughter.
