The members of Spica, the group produced by singer Lee Hyori, have reunited!
On the 12th, member Kim Bo-hyung shared a photo on her Instagram story with the caption, “Spica wearing name tags after a long time.”
The photo features all members—Kim Bo-hyung, Kim Bo-a, Yang Ji-won, Park Na-rae, and Park Si-hyun—gathered together. Since they were spotted on a lit stage, fans are naturally curious about what brought them back together.
Spica is well-known as a group produced by Lee Hyori. Although all five members boasted main-vocal level power and skill, they struggled to gain widespread recognition as their songs leaned toward a clear singing style rather than highlighting each member’s unique vocal strengths.
Combined with inconsistent album concepts and a struggle to establish a clear identity, their chart performance gradually dipped. Following a long hiatus, the group effectively disbanded in 2021.
Despite the group’s end, the members have stayed close. Last year, they even posted a photo on social media of the whole group enjoying a meal with Lee Hyori.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori opened a yoga studio in Yeonhui-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, last September. The studio is named “Ananda,” which is also Lee Hyori’s yoga alter ego. Lee Hyori married singer-songwriter Lee Sang-soon in 2013 and lived in Jeju Island for 11 years before moving to Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, in the second half of 2024.
