Tense Moments in 'Scarecrow' as Suspect Song Kun-hee's Home is Raided!

Park Hae-soo in ‘Scarecrow’ finds himself in a major dilemma.

The team behind ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow’, airing tonight (the 4th) at 10 PM, has released a glimpse of the search and seizure at the home of Lee Ki-beom (Song Kun-hee), who has been named a suspect in the Gangseong serial murder case.

In the previous episode, Kang Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo) teamed up with Cha Si-young (Lee Hee-joon) to resume the investigation into the Gangseong serial murders. After learning from Seo Ji-won (Kwak Sun-young) that the killer’s handkerchief was identical to one belonging to Kang Soon-young (Seo Ji-hye), he began to suspect her lover, Lee Ki-beom. Kang Soon-young had hidden Lee Ki-beom, who was wanted for the assault of Jeon Kyung-ho (Kang Jung-woo), in her home’s storage room. However, that night, Lee Ki-beom fled, leaving Kang Soon-young behind. While searching for him, Kang Soon-young was attacked by the culprit, and Cha Si-young, who tried to save her, lost consciousness after being stabbed.

The newly released photo shows Detective Jang Myung-do (Jeon Jae-hong) and police officers raiding Lee Ki-beom’s house, leading to a tense confrontation with the family. Jang Myung-do is holding the search and seizure warrant for Lee Ki-beom. Unable to accept that her son could be a serial killer, the mother (Sung Yeo-jin) clings to Kang Tae-joo, expressing her anger and sense of injustice. Lee Ki-hwan (Jung Moon-sung), Lee Ki-beom’s older brother and childhood friend, also casts a resentful gaze, while Kang Tae-joo cannot even lift his head, feeling like a sinner. Seo Ji-won, a friend to both, looks deeply worried, and Kang Soon-young struggles to hold back tears over the missing Lee Ki-beom. Meanwhile, Cha Si-young stands apart with arms crossed, observing the situation with a cold and dry demeanor, creating a subtle tension that draws all eyes.

The production team of ‘Scarecrow’ stated, “In the 5th episode airing today (the 4th), various circumstances and clues point to Lee Ki-beom as the suspect, leaving Kang Tae-joo in total confusion. As the murders continue in Gangseong, the residents’ distrust and backlash toward the police intensify, and the Gangseong Police Station faces pressure from both inside and outside.”
