Comedian Yang Sang-guk, who has been labeled as unlikeable due to a series of rude remarks, is set to appear on MBC’s ‘Hangout with Yoo’ and KBS2’s ‘Problem Child in House’. With negative public sentiment running high, all eyes are on whether he can find a way to turn the tide.
At the end of the May 9th episode of MBC’s ‘Hangout with Yoo’, a preview for the ‘War of Money in Changwon’ episode was revealed. In the teaser, Yang Sang-guk caught attention by reappearing with his ‘Gimhae Crown Prince’ concept, which has recently been the center of controversy.
Additionally, Yang Sang-guk recently finished filming for ‘Problem Child in House’, which is scheduled to air on the 21st. A major point of interest is whether he will directly address the ‘rudeness controversy’ surrounding him during these back-to-back variety show appearances.
Yang Sang-guk recently came under fire for his harsh language toward seniors and colleagues. While appearing on the YouTube channel ‘Pinggyego’, he drew criticism from viewers for crossing the line by calling ‘Nation’s MC’ Yoo Jae-suk “Yoo Jae-suk-ssi” and saying, “I’ll scold you if you say it one more time.”

The attitude controversy didn’t stop there. On the May 9th episode of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’, he displayed inappropriate behavior, including gesturing to hit and kicking fellow comedian Kim Hae-jun. He further upset viewers by making harsh remarks about Kim Dong-hyun, who is two years his senior, saying, “People who are fools but have strong pride are scary. Fools should be kind; those kinds of people are the scariest.”
Yang Sang-guk, who was experiencing a second peak in his career with the ‘Gimhae Crown Prince’ character, has suddenly become a target of criticism due to an excessive concept centered on shouting. It remains to be seen if he can reverse the damaged public opinion and wash away his negative image through ‘Hangout with Yoo’ and ‘Problem Child in House’.
