This version was first unveiled at ‘CinemaCon 2026’ in the US last April and already received a hot response from industry insiders. Reviews poured in, with Kenzie from Offscreen Central stating, “It’s unbelievably tense and intense. I’m so curious about what’s happening,” Jeff Sneider from The InSneider calling it “a welcome shock I’ve been waiting for,” and Casey Loving from TheWrap noting, “I could feel the atmosphere on site change in an instant. It was a huge surprise and truly impressive.”

‘Hope’ tells the story of Beom-seok, the head of the Hopo-hang office located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). After hearing reports from local youth about the appearance of a tiger, the entire village goes on high alert, leading to a confrontation with an unbelievable reality. Following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie is scheduled for a domestic release in Korea during the summer season, while NEON will handle distribution in North America to introduce ‘Hope’ to the global market.
