Actress Im Soo-jung dedicated her award win to her late mother.
On the 8th, Im Soo-jung won the Best Supporting Actress award in the TV category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci for the Disney+ original series ‘Pine: The Rustic Ones’.
Playing the role of Yang Jung-sook, the mistress of Heungbaek Industry in ‘Pine: The Rustic Ones’, Im Soo-jung captivated viewers with a side of her they had never seen before. She brought the complex character of Yang Jung-sook—filled with desire, ambition, and hidden depths—to life in her own unique style.

Im Soo-jung shared, “Yang Jung-sook was a character that was a new challenge for me as well. I want to thank Director Kang Yun-sung for supporting me through that challenge from start to finish.” She added, “Thanks to the brilliant performances of all the fellow actors, we were able to complete the work with great chemistry. I am sincerely grateful.”
Im Soo-jung also remembered her mother, who passed away four months ago. “Personally, my steps toward this place today weren’t very light,” she said. “It’s been about four months since my mother became a star in the sky, and as time passes, the words I couldn’t say remain in my heart, making the sadness deeper. But receiving this award today, it felt as if my mother was telling me not to stay still and to keep moving forward. I will live my life diligently as an actress until the day I meet her again,” she shared, leaving the audience deeply moved.
