Behind-the-scenes footage from actor Um Tae-goo’s music video for the movie Wild Thing has been released, leaving fans in stitches.
On the 24th, Um Tae-goo’s agency, Team Hope Entertainment, shared a behind-the-scenes video with the caption, “Everyone, I’ve become Sang-gu, I’ve become an idol. Triangle’s Love is music video behind.” The clip captures the MV filming site where Um Tae-goo plays the role of Gu Sang-gu, a member of the idol group Triangle.
Um Tae-goo, who even handled the narration for the video, jokingly said, “Everyone, I did it. I’ve become an idol. I’m an INFP, but I dance like my life depends on it and do aegyo. I’m not shy at all when the camera is rolling, but the moment they yell ‘cut,’ the shyness just washes over me.” He added with a playful tone, “But people praise me and say I’m good. Was I born for this? I can’t help but feel solemn. Still, if you all like it, I can keep doing it,” sparking laughter.
In the video, Um Tae-goo shows off his reversal charm, effortlessly pulling off facial expressions, dancing, and rapping during filming, only to immediately fold his hands politely and act shy as soon as he hears “cut.” This caught fans’ attention, as he is well-known for being shy and reserved in real life.
Even before its release, Wild Thing created a buzz by releasing an idol-concept music video featuring Kang Dong-won, Park Ji-hyun, and Um Tae-goo. The trio perfectly recreated the idol styling and performances of the 2000s. Um Tae-goo, in particular, stood out with his unexpectedly humorous expressions and stable dancing and rapping skills.
