Why 'Heosuabi' Ratings Exploded: Lee Hee-joon Shares Cute Behind-the-Scenes Stories about Bathhouse Trips!

Actor Lee Hee-joon shared some behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of ‘Heosuabi’.

We recently met Lee Hee-joon, who starred in the ENA Mon-Tue drama ‘Heosuabi’, at the BH Entertainment office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

‘Heosuabi’ is a crime investigation thriller about Detective Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo), who is hunting for a serial killer and ends up in an unexpected partnership with someone he absolutely detests. The plot is inspired by the Lee Chun-jae serial murder case that occurred in Hwaseong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, between September 15, 1986, and April 3, 1991. Lee Hee-joon played Prosecutor Cha Si-young, an ambitious man eyeing a political career, creating a tense yet captivating ‘hate-relationship’ chemistry with Park Hae-soo.

‘Heosuabi’, which wrapped up on the 26th, ended on a high note with its final episode hitting a series-high viewership rating of 8.1%. Lee Hee-joon credited the show’s success to the warm and friendly atmosphere on set. He recalled, “The director was incredibly considerate of the staff and actors. We even had a break from 1 PM to 4 PM during filming. The director even covered the cost of the local bathhouse, so we all used to head to the cold tub together!”
